SALONFEST - Art & Activism, Imagery for social change
Meet local activist artists at the opening event of the 2020 Salonfestival Cape Town at the historic 44 on Long in Cape Town's CBD - On Tuesday 18th February. 6 - 9.00 pm. See Salonfest Cape Town 2020 FB page for details.
Art and imagery have the power to create dialogue, encourage open communication and generate empathy around important topics. Art activism does this ultimately with the aim of creating social change.
These topics will be discussed by Sarah Jayne Fell curator and founder ANON. Pop Up Gallery with activist artists Carin Bester and Lindeka Qampi, Nicky Newman, photographer and documentary filmmaker and cartoonist Andy Mason.
