This is a selection of my images from four different mass gatherings in September 2019 in Cape Town, South Africa.

The united protests and call for action, were sparked by a series of particularly dark murders of amongst MANY others,
UCT student Uyinene Mrwetyana, 
UWC student Jesse Hess,
boxing champion Leighandre Jegels,
14-year-old Janika Mallo,

Lynette Volschenk 

and

Meghan Cremer.

I will write more in the following days about the four different protests, but for now, the images speak of the rage,

frustration and pain that so many are living in every single day, as well as the strength,

power and hope that creating a united front brings.
