This powerful human interest study, opened the 7th Encounters International Documentary Festival,  It’s the story of the talented musical Makhene family, and how they grow and live through all the highs and lows that form part of being a family.  Led by their musical father, Blondie and understanding mother, Agnes, for the three beautiful daughters, the world is their oyster.

But tragedy shatters the family and things change forever when Agnes passes away unexpectedly. The eldest daughter, Pauline decides to begin a new life in Dubai. Gontse, the youngest goes into depression, and Letoya, with her promising solo career is called to become a sangoma (traditional healer) and has to learn how to integrate her two different worlds.

With patience and understanding, Blondie and stepmom Pam, hold the family together, always giving support and freedom to each of the daughter’s choices. Life  continues and the family grows bigger with two more baby daughters who inject new energy.
