"People may think that trance parties are just a bunch of hippies taking drugs in the forest – but you have been greatly misled.

A good pystrance party is about standing on the bare earth with the sun shining on your shoulders as it feeds you energy.

It’s about standing amongst strangers, hearing a rhythm that builds up, and then feeling pure exhilarating anticipation rise from your tippy toes right up to the very rhythm of your heartbeat, and then suddenly all those strangers – you feel them; you feel their energy, you feel their passion building and diving and exploding and everyone is connected to  each other’s joy.

There’s such a sense of unity. It doesn’t matter who you are, or where you come from …labels are left off the trance floor. At that one very special moment in time, everyone is loving the same thing, enjoying the same thing, and taking up a very unique fraction of eternity by uniting in a common passion.

It’s like an explosion of individual expression coupled with a united passion and venture – the key ingredients to a truly inimitable adventure.

It’s about feeling the soft rain caress your skin and the wet earth mould around your feet as you stomp … It’s about being out in the open air, breathing in the scenery and letting your ears and soul fill with intense rhythm.

It’s about the freedom. It’s about the love. And by love I mean pure united passion for a place and a genre and an experience. It’s about seeing the sun rise from faraway mountains and watching as the soft warm colours softly cascade across the sky.

It’s about occupying a truly beautiful moment in time.

At least that’s what it’s about for me.”
