 I love the simplicity of black and white photography.  I was trained  in black and white, old school in the darkroom.  So I'm very comfortable without the distractions of color.  Nicky Newman's photography album of  black and white images.

The Housing Development Agency has been building new houses in the Western Cape for those previously living in tin shacks.  Nicky Newman has been following this journey from finding and preparing land, through construction to the handing over of houses for 5 years.
As times and technologies change, so do the traditional ways of making a living based on ones skill, training and talent.
